The Ohio Centers for Economic Education and the Ohio Council on Economic Education have a long history of
providing educational opportunities for teachers and youth. We are directly involved in the educational
training of thousands of teachers annually, improving their working knowledge of the economy,
entrepreneurship, personal finance topics, and business practices. Services include teacher training
and professional development programs, assisting in curriculum development, and sharing instructional
models that permit economics to be the framework for improving student achievement across many subjects.
Content includes the core classroom curriculum as well as critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical
skill development. The Stock Market Challenge has proven to be an effective tool for reinforcing academic
content standards across a number of content areas and an important resource for building financial literacy.
Over the years, the Centers have built a strong network with other organizations. We have established
excellent working relationships with public and private, rural and urban school districts, the Ohio
Department of Education, the Federal Reserve Bank, Ohio’s Office of the Treasury, and Career Education
Centers throughout Ohio. We value their resources and partnership on important educational programs.
Please join us for a training session to help get you up to speed.
